The only Slominski family that seems to have come to Ontario was that of Ignacy Slominski. He built the hotel in Wilno, operated it; then moved to Edmonton, Alberta and finally settled in Lucky Lake, Saskatchewan. Relatives and descendants live in and near Saskatoon. Most changed their names to Saunders. About 12 families of Slominskis live in the Minto, Warsaw, Kashub area of North Dakota. Two priests: Fr. Anthony Slominski R.I.P. died and buried in Barry's Bay, Ontario, Fr. Frank Slominski, R.I.P., from Warsaw, North Dakota.
